Let Maryland Legislators know our entire hobby has influence. In 12 days, a key legislative date approaches. All bills passed in the House Session are “walked” to the Senate. Now is the time to contact your Delegates and urge them to get HB004 and/or HB125 passed in the Environment and Transportation Committee and to the full floor for a vote.
HB004 and HB125 are identical in our hobby’s interest in removing the absurd “Automotive History Ended in 1999” law passed last year. Both bills amend to a 25 year + rolling with grandfather provisions common across the USA and endorsed by the MCAA, the Antique Auto Clubs of America, and ABATE of Maryland.

I contact you to urge passage of HB004 and/or HB125 out of the Environment and Transportation Committee and approval through the MD House of Delegates in this legislative session.Both of these bills are essentially identical, bi-partisan and corrects previous legislation that left Maryland an outlier amongst the entire nation concerning the definition of historic vehicles. MD defining “automotive history ended in 1999” for Class L tags affects the hobby as a whole which brings significant revenue to the State and millions of dollars in charitable donations through the hobby’s contributions through car shows and other events.
